In the Vortex

In the Vortex
is a story that subtly calls for awakening and a “cleansing” of one’s own life. At its core lies an internal turning point — a moment of awakening and entry into a phase of intense introspection and transformation. The artistic experience of the painting becomes a trigger for deeper self-awareness: something familiar yet forgotten rises to the surface, reminding the narrator of a life that had begun to fade in the dream of passivity. The motif of the dream is no coincidence — it symbolizes a state of unconsciousness, existence without essence, emotional stagnation.

Moreover, the dream also carries a warning function: What if it wasn’t just a dream? the narrator asks, leaving space for interpreting the dream as an inner call to awaken. Through this internal dialogue, we come to another important theme — self-sabotage — and the recognition that we ourselves hold ourselves back is the path toward change. Awakening, therefore, is more than metaphorical — it is the beginning of the process of “cleansing life,” actively removing everything that hinders personal growth — negative people, unnecessary things, false feelings.

The narrator points out how the subconscious naturally rejects what is not authentic, indicating an internal mechanism of self-preservation. Thus, one of the story’s main messages is that inner peace and personal development require radical honesty with oneself and the courage to break free from destructive patterns.
