“The Dragonfly Cycle” was created from a deep need to express myself and reveal everything I had been suppressing within for a certain period of my life. At the same time, I wanted to merge image and word, the visual and the narrative, the rational and the intuitive. This collection consists of 18 paintings and 13 short stories, which together form a unique artistic narrative about transformation, inner awakening, friendship, love, personal authenticity, and the freedom of choice.
At the center of my creative process are dragonflies, as they carry beautiful symbolism and, in most cultures, represent transformation. Through them, I explore universal human questions:
Who are we when we forget about the expectations of others?
Can art become a mirror of the soul rather than a product of the market?
Can friendship save the world?
Does true love come only when we dare to be vulnerable?
For me, art is something that exceeds my own limits, yet it is also a process of inner dialogue with myself. I do not seek the perfection of form, but the truth of expression. I am not interested in external validation, but in inner connectedness. I believe that every genuine work of art carries the energy of change — both for the creator and for the observer.
All the paintings in the collection invite you to listen closely and reconnect with yourself. Because, as one of my characters says: “Wings do not make a dragonfly. The melody of the heart does.”
