In 2024, she held her first solo exhibition titled “Summer Fairy Tale” at the Đura Jakšić House.
Her works have been exhibited in the following galleries: Blok Gallery (Tok Exhibition), Vlada Divljan Cultural Center (“Serbian Painters 2025”), SKC BAZA (“November Salon of Classical Interactive Art”), King Peter I House (“Dynamics of Diversity”), ŠTAB (“Artist in Challenge”), Nikola Radošević Gallery (group exhibition organized by Fireflies in the Dark), Green Door (“The Imprint of Transience”), Academy 28 (“May Encounters”), the International Fractal Festival (“Codes of Awakening”) at the Đura Jakšić House, and others.
When I first saw the works of the then-young Aleksandra Stefanović many years ago, I immediately realized I was looking at the creations of a future, exceptionally talented painter. And she has long since become exactly that.
It is not enough to see her paintings on social media. They must be seen in person. Many of her colleagues have spent their entire careers searching for their own authenticity. In Aleksandra, it seems innate. Her paintings are alive — they breathe, think, feel, and lift the viewer to fly with them through fairy tales and gentle tones, carrying a message of how beautiful the world and life can be. Her painterly vocabulary of strokes, colors, and values fully supports this narrative. Aleksandra never burdens her work with unnecessary details; she seems to have an instinctive sense of measure and balance. Combined with the beautiful motifs she paints, her works simply cannot leave the viewer indifferent — they inspire and excite. She paints what cannot be seen: the wind, a thought, an idea — and manages to transfer all of that onto the canvas in a magically delicate way.
A painter by soul and calling, Aleksandra paints what is in fact the most difficult to capture, and she does it so well that it appears effortlessly natural. And that is precisely what sets great masters apart from the rest.
